this was Cecil Taylor's date - alternate album
[edit]First off, reference 1 to a "Stereo Drive" doesn't exist. See --> https://www.discogs.com/The-Cecil-Taylor-Quintet-Stereo-Drive/release/4719696 instead. "Stereo Drive" was later a 1985 Japanese-only release, utilizing Taylor's original album artwork with a new title. Shades of the record company's greed. This album was issued in 1959 as Hard Driving Jazz under Cecil Taylor's name. "Coltrane Time" came out later. CD issues of these sessions are often combined with another Fifties Taylor album, Love For Sale. I will try to fix this as best as I can. The Taylor quote in the article is unrefernced, but I've read similar things in various books & mags.HammerFilmFan (talk) 14:53, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
move request to "Coltrane Time"
[edit]Actually, this entry should be under Cecil Taylor's name, but without ruffling too many feathers, the Coltrane title would work. I've fixed some of the text and replaced the alternate cover. For those watching this article, what do you think?. "Stereo Drive" is a much, much lesser known issue of these sessions - we could use a redirect for that title.HammerFilmFan (talk) 15:57, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
