If I recall, Rabbi Balfour Brickner was turned down for a position at Temple Emanuel before he muscled his way into SWFS. Mom has the real dirt... I don't know who wrote this original article, but I would have included SWFS' wonderful work in the mid 80's in response to AIDS in NYC. The congregation did the same homecare as GMHC was doing.Mrphilip (talk) 07:01, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
