Birth date and a few other details
[edit]@KarenJoyce a couple of questions:
- Can you share the source that cites April 25, 1985 as Satterfield's birthday? I didn't see it mentioned in any of the sources linked in the article's lead: [1], [2], [3], or [4]. Note: via email Stephen shared that his birthday is on April 18th.
- Are you aware of any guidelines that speak to what should/should not be included in the
Website
field? Stephen asked to havestephensatterfield.com
changed towww.whetstonemagazine.com
. Note: I think usingstephensatterfield.com
(as you've done) is best for it: A) is his personal website and B) seems to follow what's been done on similar pages (Alice Waters and Samin Nosrat).

- @Stussll, it looks like that was a mistake on my part. I see in public records that April 18 is correct, but don't really have a good source. Sorry about that error!
- I'm not seeing guidelines for determining which website is official. Perhaps we can ask a more senior editor? I can understand that folks might have a website for personal use and another for their official bio and such. KarenJoyce (talk) 19:56, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
- @KarenJoyce and @Stussll: Pick whichever one you think is most best/most useful for readers. Generally, we pick a website that is more professional than personal in nature. It is possible but unusual to list more than one official website. If you want other opinions, then you can always ask at the Wikipedia:External links/Noticeboard. - This is helpful, straightforward, and easy-to-apply advice...thank you, @WhatamIdoing! And regarding Wikipedia:External_links/Noticeboard, this is the first time I'm seeing this page...thank you. Stussll (talk) 15:33, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
