Fair use rationale for Image:NewOrderLowlifeCover.jpg

[edit]

Image:NewOrderLowlifeCover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 16:50, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"was expelled for abusing cough syrup"

[edit]

This sounds intriguing. Anybody know what it actually means, though? --82.69.202.14 (talk) 14:59, 23 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I don't believe you didn't hear anything about DXM... 85.89.184.212 (talk) 23:44, 20 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Personal information re. his daughters

[edit]

I have removed highly personal information about his daughters because:

  • The article is about Stephen Morris and not his daughters.
  • The removed content is irrelevant to the article. What benefit does it serve for it to be here?
  • The restoration of this material was defended by "he's raising awareness of the condition." That's as maybe but it is not the role of Wikipedia.
  • The single reference does not support most of the removed material. This includes the symptoms of the condition; the apparent recovery but ongoing health issues of the daughter; and the apparent preference of surname of Gillian Gilbert (who is not the subject of the article).
  • Another contributor has also previously expressed concern, and removed, the same content. [1] only for it to be restored by the original author.
  • The same original author has also inserted similarly highly personal information into other articles. Other authors expressed equal concern about the same and so it was removed. The original author also blanked attempts to discuss such content.[2] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.224.43.24 (talk) 10:04, 10 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Daughter Tilly as member of Hot Vestry - why removed?

[edit]

'Tilly performs in the local band Hot Vestry.' - removed today, marked as 'untrue'. But online sources do indicate this is true (though 'local band' may be redundant), eg https://trackdose.wordpress.com/2015/03/10/hot-vestry-a-scene-in-between-ep/ https://www.facebook.com/HotVestry http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/whats-on/music/gillian-gilbert-we-want-new-4802310

- perhaps considered not relevant? Or related to above mention of prior removal of material related to their children? Or was true and is now untrue? Iaineditor (talk) 18:36, 21 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Instrument addition

[edit]

Keyboards should be a notable instrument as Morris contributed Keyboards to New Order songs. 88.104.216.186 (talk) 17:50, 3 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
