Early career
[edit]I don't know about Morgan!, but on if.... Frears was not "assistant director" but "assistant to the director". To me, that phrase implies making tea and sweeping the set far more than it does creative input and being trusted with minor aspects of the finished product, which an "assistant director" might have. Others may well be able to confirm this impression? Harfarhs (talk) 20:58, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Awards
[edit]In 2006, Stephen Frears was invited to serve as a mentor for the Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative, an international philanthropic programme that pairs masters in their disciplines with emerging talents for a year of one-to-one creative exchange. Out of a very gifted field of candidates, Frears chose Peruvian film-maker Josué Méndez as his protégé.[1] RMP2014 (talk) 14:01, 10 March 2014 (UTC)

Notable Works
[edit]Can I please start a "Known Works" list for Mr. Frears? He has directed several notable films, and there was a list on his article before.
These are the films I would like to add:
My Beautiful Laundrette
Dangerous Liaisons
The Grifters
High Fidelity
The Queen
Philomena
Florence Foster Jenkins
Is this alright? Other directors have "Known Works" lists, and I just want them to all have a list.
