Citation problems

[edit]

This article uses its subject, Stephen Bustin, as the source for much of its content. The problem is that Wikipedia citations are supposed to be about the article content, not citations to its subject's work. In other words, "Bustin can't write about Bustin"— Unless Bustin is discussing himself in these citations (which I do not think is the case), they are not being used correctly. A citation should be made to a place or source where the information mentioned in the article can be verified, whatever that is. They are not for creating "citations" to the work of the article's subject (as has been done here). KDS4444Talk 09:19, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I remain kind of unsure what you mean. Do you mean that we shouldn't be citing Bustin's peer-reviewed publications, or his article in the Guardian for example? If not, I will remove them, but first it would be greatly appreciated if you could clarify exactly what shouldn't be on this page. Jinkinson (talk) 01:23, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
