Re-opening

[edit]
  • the Peace of Jam Zapolski on 15 January 158. - you missed a digit.
  • In 1584 Báthory allowed Zamoyski to execute Samuel Zborowski, - you might want to pull one of the ref closer into this statement.
  • he is a patron of the Batory Steelmill, - did you have a reference?
    • All claims in this sentence are sourced to PSB as indicated, I just double checked.
  • 9th Armored Cavalry Brigade - a link or a reference?
  • After the Second World War, in the communist People's Republic of Poland, he became more of a controversial figure, with historians more ready to question his internal politics and attachment to Hungary. - Need a reference.
    • PSB page added.

That's my thoughts. Will read it through a second time later today. Ajh1492 (talk) 10:50, 25 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Ajh1492: thanks, fixed done. @User:Khazar2: would you consider doing a language copyedit, as neither me nor Ajh are English native speakers? --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:31, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I can do that later today. If you don't mind my asking a favor in exchange, would you be willing to comment at Wikipedia:Peer_review/United_Nations/archive3? I'd be interested in your thoughts as to whether that one's ready for GA, or if not, what more should be done. Cheers, -- Khazar2 (talk) 13:21, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I think this is close to ready to pass on the "clear and correct" part of criterion 1a. I do have a few questions still below that you could clarify, and I can't promise I caught everything, but it's just about there. Thanks for another good contribution, Piotrus, and particularly thanks for sending this back for a double-check. -- Khazar2 (talk) 14:29, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • "refused to recognize him " -- Bathory or Maximillian? I'm assuming Bathory, but Maxmillian was the last one named. -- Khazar2 (talk) 14:04, 27 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • All the captions say "Batory" rather than "Báthory"; I assume these are legitimate variants, but this should probably be made consistent.
  • "The Emperor's brother Archduke Maximilian" -- the Emperor Maximilian had a brother also named Maximilian? Or are we talking about a different emperor now (Rudolf II, Holy Roman Emperor)?
  • "Through some historians like Tadeusz Korzon, Joachim Lelewel and Jędrzej Moraczewski remained more reserved" -- I'm not sure what you mean here-- should the "through" be "though"?
Thanks, all fixed. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 05:35, 29 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
