Autobiography

Pretty much all of this is lifted from all the chapters on her site. It reads like a cute down biography rather than a neutral article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.125.44.45 (talk) 15:51, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

There seem to be a few different points that have been raised: promotional tone, potential conflict of interest, and the point about the civil partnership has been disputed.
  • With respect to the sources, more than half of them are taken directly from Stephanie Booth's autobiography on her site. That's not actually an independent third-party source, and any material based on that ought to be minimized.
  • I can't comment on any conflict of interest that any editors may have here; I don't know what that issue is.
The conflict of interest is that from the sheer amount of info taken from the website or with no sources this is possibly mr or mrs booth editing . the biographival data of the creator is consistant with mr booth 91.125.44.45 (talk) 21:44, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
  • I am curious about the claim that Stephanie and David Booth were married in a civil partnership, since the source doesn't say specifically that that is the ceremony that was employed. Is there some other source that will corroborate that?
—Tim Pierce (talk) 18:00, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
as she is legalls female she cannot have a civil partnership with a man and it is described as a marriage in references 91.125.44.45 (talk) 18:28, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
"David and Stephanie have married twice – the first time in Sri Lanka 25 years ago though the union was not recognised in the UK – but when the law changed in the UK, they married again three years ago. The ceremony took place at one of their hotels, the award-winning, historic Bodidris Hall in Llandegla.
Stephanie says: “There are few things that make me cry but when I saw my new birth certificate – with gender female and my name – that was a special moment. I have never met anyone I respect as much as David. I love him and think he’s a genuinely good man. He sees the best in people and he’s a friend. He still can make me laugh. We enjoy life together. It’s fun.” " http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/2009/11/01/millionaire-businesswoman-stephanie-booth-had-to-fight-all-the-way-when-she-had-a-sex-change-91466-25061639/ 91.125.44.45 (talk) 19:36, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

the author is misrepresenting the source above re marriage/civil partnership. the article is largely lifted from the womans personal website as sources and reads like her autobiography and the other sources are used as place marks and this is just an example of it. they are not accurately used

promotional? date of creation

http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/wales-news/2011/02/27/wrexham-fc-s-hopeful-owner-is-transexual-ex-jailbird-91466-28242156/ article created at the same time as such press as this came out. this seems most convenient91.125.44.45 (talk) 20:49, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Middle Name

What is the source for the middle name in keith david hull. it is not in the citations of that section and is not returned on google.91.125.44.45 (talk) 21:39, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Gender references/pronouns

It is generally conisidered offensive to refer to trans people by their previous inacurate gender and pronouns. this article starts off using male pronouns etc only changing around half way through. This is highly inaccurate especially for those legally recognised as their true gender see for example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaz_Bono he transitioned when middle aged but the correct gender refernces are used for all of life. 91.125.44.45 (talk) 23:27, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOS:IDENTITY#Gender-neutral_language.5BR.5D Any person whose gender might be questioned should be referred to using the gendered nouns, pronouns, and possessive adjectives that reflect that person's latest expressed gender self-identification. This applies when referring to any phase of that person's life. Nevertheless, avoid confusing or seemingly logically impossible text that could result from pronoun usage (for example: She fathered her first child). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.125.44.45 (talk) 13:52, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Out of date info

Page 15 of the website biography which is this articles main source states http://www.transformation.co.uk/en/transgender-resources/true-life-stories/127-the-story-of-stephanie-anne-lloyd?start=14 " I'm still here fighting on issues, like the stupidity of the law that prevents me from being my husband's legal wife, but from the sidelines and not from centre stage. I just want a quiet life." " The gender ecognition act which lets stephanie legally be married dates to 2004. this article is large based on that source which is therefore at least 7 years out of date. Given the low quality of the photo scans accompanying it I suspect those web pages are in turn taken from her early 90s biography Nirame (talk) 00:25, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

SPS sourcing and commerical spam substantially removed

As it must be in any WP:BLP. Collect (talk) 00:07, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion

The article has not been touched by its creator and only real contibuter for ages now and they have no intent of fixing it it. In addition they have now stated themselves to be on an indefinite "time out" following jimbo wales pointing out their BLP problematic editing. Nirame (talk) 15:01, 18 May 2011 (UTC)

But there is no sufficient reason for a PROD here. AfD would be proper perhaps, but I think sufficient notability is shown to keep it, albeit free of commercial spam. Collect (talk) 16:20, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
