Fair use rationale for Image:Stepup2thestreets.jpg

[edit]

Image:Stepup2thestreets.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

OST

[edit]

Where did u get the soundtrack? I think it's all shit. if you look at the trailer, there are different artists there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.68.72.70 (talk) 15:54, 18 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yup. If someone could provide a web-reference from which you got the soundtrack listing, it would be great if you could post it here! -- Ddxc (talk) 14:28, 4 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
After being unable to review diffs like this, I've removed the soundtrack. Feel free to re-add it provided that you provide a reference (URL). You can use either the old or new version of the diff I linked as a starting point, if that's helpful. -- Ddxc (talk) 14:08, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Straight to DVD

[edit]

Isn't this movie going straight to DVD?

No, it is getting a theater release. The release has already begun to be advertised on TV in the USA. -MBK004 22:46, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Section

[edit]

I've removed the plot section as it appears to be copied from other sources. If someone wants to rewrite it without copying from somewhere else, feel free to put something else in. AnmaFinotera (talk) 10:11, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Step Up 2 the Streets" or "Step Up 2: The Streets"?

[edit]

It's Step Up 2 the Steets, not Step Up 2: The Streets.

Does anyone have a screencap of the title card, or can anyone who's seen it confirm whether the title appeared the same as on the poster? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.17.53.21 (talk) 10:11, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just looked at the title card and it's a different font from the poster, but it's still "step up 2" on one line and "the streets" on a line just below it, with no colons. So it remains ambiguous as to whether it's "Step Up 2 the Streets" or "Step Up 2: The Streets". On one hand, the breaking of the title into two lines suggests "Step Up 2: The Streets", but it's very possible that the movie is "Step Up 2 the Streets" but the filmmakers simply couldn't fit the whole title on one line. I always thought there was no colon/subtitle but I'm starting to lean in favor of there being the colon/subtitle based on the position of the words, but I think we'd need the movie's director's or producer's input to really settle this question.

Note: In the poster, "The Streets" is positioned below and to the left of "Step Up 2", but in the title card, "the streets" is below and to the right of "step up 2" (and the words are all lowercase). Don't know if that makes any arguments one way or the other. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.27.116.131 (talk) 11:13, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I just looked at the DVD again and the DVD case as well as Cassie's outtakes special feature spell the title as "Step Up 2 The Streets". No colon, all first letters capitalized. I suggest that we change the title of this article to "Step Up 2 The Streets" as that appears to be as official a title for the movie as we're gonna get. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.27.116.131 (talk) 08:57, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I changed the title. Enter Movie (talk) 20:15, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spelled Briana Evigan wrong.

[edit]

The actress who plays the main character is Briana Evigan, not Briana Evignan. It's fixed now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jameslim88 (talkcontribs) 02:37, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Box Office

[edit]

there's currently an empty box office section that i'm removing. a box office section would be great if someone wants to write it. there's no point in having it there empty though. - Shadowsill (talk) 04:53, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

[edit]

Can someone put a section for "Reviews" in this article. There needs to be a review section for a movie article.

Change the page from Step Up 2: The Streets to Step Up 2 the Streets

[edit]

I suggest changing the page from Step Up 2: The Streets to Step Up 2 the Streets, as Step Up 2 the Streets is the title as it appears according to the Writers Guild of America[1] and the American Film Institute Catalog.[2] Newtlamender (talk) 21:42, 18 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
