This article seems to continually degenerate into nothing but a list of (unsourced) regional variations of the song. I see someone removed all the various versions last year, but they've gradually been added back in. Perhaps it would be better to add references rather than listing every slight variation. 2001:420:2840:1250:71C9:2EA0:C734:2CD3 (talk) 20:04, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with this completely as it turns the whole page into a complete mess and some regions people list are too vague. I mean…Atlantic Canada? Really? Cool879 (talk) 03:35, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Version from Minneapolis MN

[edit]

I grew up in Florida and learned the song that is listed as the Minneapolis Version(this was in the early 80's). I may be missing something, but, the lyrics are entirely different than the other songs on this page. It seems to be an entirely different song and, IMO, merits its own page.

I found some other sources referencing that version of the song (or something very similar).

Many of the Lyrics are Illegible

[edit]

Please follow the guidelines and ensure your writing is eligible and correct and that you specify where your version originates as much as possible. Also ensure that you keep spellings consistent. It appears that many are unsure as to how to spell certain words in the song and just end up guessing. Do not do that. Cool879 (talk) 06:20, 4 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Quack Diddly Oso

[edit]

At what point does something become a different song all together? Yes, the general gameplay may be the same, but the lyrics are completely different. If your song doesn’t start with “Stella Ella Ola” then I argue that it doesn’t belong here. I think there should be a new page for this version if people want to share it. Clapping Game?

[edit]

I don't think this game would classify as a clapping game because
- The clapping game is "generally played by two players" while this game is played by more than two players (at least three).
- The clapping game is a non-competitive game while this game could be competitive. In every round, for two players involved in the last clap, let's call them player A (who gives the clap) and player B (who receives the clap), there are two possible outcomes: (1) Player A successfully claps player B. Outcome: Player B is out (2) Player A tries to clap but miss it because player B quickly removed his/her hand. Outcome: Player A is out. This would continue until the last round (until there are only two players). The last two players then can play anything to decide the winner (such as rock/paper/scissor).
