Split

[edit]

I can formally propose a split if that would be better, but it seems like Steilacoom people is the ethnic group, of which many are enrolled in different tribes today, while the Steilacoom Tribe is a nonprofit based in Steilacoom, Washington. They would both need hatnotes since the terms are so similar. Yuchitown (talk) 16:05, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes that's the case. I don't think the Steilacoom Tribe is notable enough for its own article, or I would have split it already. PersusjCP (talk) 20:23, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good point. Looks like the town of Steilacoom mentions them a lot, and their museum garners mentions. I could try making an independent article (I think I start the section about the Steilacoom Tribe back in 2022. Yuchitown (talk) 20:37, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, go ahead. I will contribute anything I find in a little bit. PersusjCP (talk) 20:46, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and created it. Please feel free to add anything else. :) PersusjCP (talk) 21:41, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
