[edit]Hi, I'm a German football fan and know a few more things about Stefan Effenberg. But I'm no native speaker so it will be best, if someone else add my information to the article.
He has a brother and two sisters. He won the German Championship with Bayern Munich 1999, 2000 and 2001. He won also the "DFB-Pokal" (German Football Cup) 1995 with Mönchengladbach and 2000 with FC Bayern. The highlight of his career was winning the Champions-League 2001 with Bayern against Valencia.
He scored 5 goals for Germany! After the 1998 WM he has a short comeback in two matches.
Former he was married with Martina. They have 3 children. Since 2002 he left her for Claudia Strunz, the woman of Thomas Strunz, his teammate at this time. Both marriages got divorced and Stefan and Claudia are married now.
He also wrote an autobiography called "Ich hab's allen gezeigt" (I showed all?!), in which he attacked many people.
This year in summer he invited many former teammates for a match in Mönchengladbach. There he officially brought his career to the end.
Now he's living alternating in Florida (where his exwife lives with their children) and Hamburg (Germany) where Claudia lives with her two children.
I hope I helped you with this article! --84.148.125.162 16:57, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
Dubious Information
[edit]Caps and goal figures in the article likely contain European cup/Domestic cup data in addition to Domestic League data (this is very certain based on this user's previous edits containing similar information [1]. Please correct this issue and leave a note here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Alfmaster#Footballers.27_European_goals, to warn this person about putting improper information on Wikipedia. --Palffy 21:19, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
