  • French diacritic, coherency with French wikipedia Hektor (talk) 18:31, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Diacritics are not uncontroversial, needs a full discussion. Jenks24 (talk) 19:35, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Commentaire - Je suis d'accord pour écrire les noms propres selon l'ortographe correct avec accents, mais il faut regarder les sources dans la langue appropriée. (I am all for spelling proper names with their accents, however you need to look sources in the language in question.) What happens on French Wikipedia, stays on French Wikipedia. Each language Wikipedia is a separate project, and follows the guidelines for that language, as each language has different grammar, word order, rules for capital letters, etc. So let's look at what English sources say about this individual, and then if none exist we can look at French sources.--Education does not equal common sense. 我不在乎 22:57, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
@ UnQuébécois / 我不在乎 please see WP:AT and note "German for German politicians" etc. In ictu oculi (talk) 11:01, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support; more accurate name. bobrayner (talk) 11:18, 9 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support - completely uncontroversial 100% of French living persons on en.wp are at French names, unless there's a complicating factor like a tennis/hockey lobby there's no need for making a fuss over spelling one person's name correctly, as if this one French olympic wrestler is going to be the only French person on en.wp given an "English name." In this case the only source in the article (a moment ago) was for "Guénot", and now there's 2 sources for "Guénot" (added a second) plus the article itself mentions his brother Christophe Guénot. To even have this RM is a waste of everyone's time. In ictu oculi (talk) 11:01, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per Iio, noting that article titles in other language Wikipedias should only be considered suggestions. In this case, however, it's a good one. --BDD (talk) 20:17, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
