China in lead
[edit]@Venkat TL I think China in lead is WP:UNDUE and trivial. — DaxServer (t · c) 13:03, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- Why? Statue of Liberty also mentions where it was built. In first para, no less. Venkat TL (talk) 13:05, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, but it was actually built by the French and gifted to the US. From what I understand from the Hindustan Times source [1], this one seems to be a contract given to the Aerosun Corporation by the Jeeyar Trust and carries no significance as to where it was built. — DaxServer (t · c) 13:12, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- And this was actually built by the chinese and sold to Indians. I believe this article to be undue, it is a fit case to be merged somewhere. I am not doing it now because of the WP:RECENTISM fogging the mind of participants. May be in a few weeks or months. That said, if we are going to have an article on this. The reader would like to know the origin of the statue. What is the good reason for hiding this bit of important info? I also note one IP or new user who created section headers about China. I understand his sentiments. I wont go as far but Cant see why this needs to be removed. Please restore Made in China status. Venkat TL (talk) 13:17, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- I'll look for more sources on this. — DaxServer (t · c) 17:14, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- @DaxServer Rs 135 crore 'Statue of Equality' inaugurated by PM Modi in Hyderabad was made in China. If something is mentioned in headlines by RS, it signals that this info is deserved in lead. Venkat TL (talk) 17:32, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- I'm now partly convinced it might not be that undue. Not because a headline says so, but like any other lead- which summarises the article. I'd expand the article and will put back China in a day or two, not exactly like your sentence- will see. Don't have time right now. Feel free to edit. — DaxServer (t · c) 18:19, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- Ok. I have added it for now. Feel free to update when you get time. Venkat TL (talk) 18:41, 7 February 2022 (UTC)

panchaloha
[edit]Panchaloha is made of 5 metals "gold, silver, copper, zinc and iron"
The Wikipedia article states - gold, silver, copper, brass and zinc. Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc. Iron is missing. 2601:646:9E01:3B10:8FB:456B:6DF7:37DE (talk) 16:39, 3 December 2022 (UTC)
