Merge proposal
[edit]I think the two Sumner statue articles should be merged, the benefit of separate primary geocoords seems small here compared to the extra clarity. Another Believer what do you think? I began to do it as it seemed uncontroversial, but checking as I see you worked on this a while back. Feel free to restore an old v. if you disagree (I realize that presently the (Cambridge) qualifier on this title is inaccurate!) – SJ + 00:07, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- I would think the statues are independently notable and we should two separate entries. ---Another Believer (Talk) 03:34, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
- I agree they are both notable as monumental public art -- they just share a lot of disambiguation overhead :) Separate articles will certainly make it easier to keep Wikidata entries up to date. I would love to find sources that talk about the details of one and not the other. (As I wrote that, I see there's better sourcing and context in Whitney's article...) – SJ + 03:52, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
