Escape?
[edit]According to https://www.yahoo.com/news/m/84183ffe-6ce2-35f6-a6fe-9a18a4430f47/ss_missouri-v.-celia%2C-a-slave%3A.html, she escaped rather than "was taken" from her jail cell. Also the yahoo article says she ahd a still-born baby during her incarceration. Kdammers (talk) 16:44, 19 October 2017 (UTC)
The Crime?
[edit]Which crime? The alleged attempted rape? The killing reads in this section as self-defense. Even the destruction of evidence is self-defense considering the unjust laws of the time. The title of this section should not be "The Crime" but rather something with no judgement such as the death of Robert Newsom. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.30.88.46 (talk) 03:27, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
