E.C. Minas Department Store
[edit]The E.C. Minas Department Store was torn down in July 2002 per this December 29, 2002 citation from The Times of Northwest Indiana
"One of downtown Hammond's most recognizable and oldest buildings was razed in July to make room for a planned four-story, $10 million auditorium for the First Baptist Church. Only the facade was saved when the 108-year-old building Minas Building on State Street just east of Hohman Avenue was torn down."
