Deletion of sourced material
[edit]A number of changes have recently been made, removing sourced facts and removing several references completely.
Wikipedia requires references from reliable sources to back up the facts of any article. Unreferenced information can be deleted, and without sufficient references, the entire article can be deleted. Before the mass edits started, there were 20 references from 10 sources, this was reduced to 10 references from 7 sources, without giving any reason whatsoever.
Some references have since been added, but most of these are to the band's own web-site, which may be considered biased, rather than to independent third-party references. These have also been added as External references within the article, contrary to the guidelines for External References
I propose re-instating the deleted, referenced material. If any editor objects to this, they should explain why, here.

Thank you Arjayay ... I am still in the process of updating the page with more accurate information and independent third-party references - the references to the band's own website are just those that were immediately to hand - I was not aware of the guidelines for External References until your message alerted me - I shall be researching those guidelines and amending the page accordingly. I request that you review my changes when they have been completed (I'll notify you) rather than re-instating the incomplete and biased referenced material on the existing page before I began my edits. Many thanks (I merely wish to present a complete unbiased description of its' history and content) Dreamyard (talk) 23:36, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
I've now removed all external references from within the body text as per the guidelines, and those linking to the band's website that may be considered biased. There is still some inaccurate information on the page to be removed and corrected, and there are more third-party references to add. Dreamyard (talk) 00:20, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
