Francis Jones
[edit]You have in this article that Francis Jones designed a door in 1965, he died in 1937 so fail to see how this can be. His grave can be found in the graveyard alongside his father. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dacj40 (talk • contribs) 11:37, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- I may have mistyped or misread; I'll check my copy of the source later when I get home. Thanks for pointing this out. Hassocks5489 (tickets please!) 12:23, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Jude was my Great Great Great Uncle and Francis a cousin (of some sort) so it's nice to see them mentioned. My Great Great Great Grandfather Thomas Jones (Jude's Father) was the estate builder and was responsible, so understand, for quite a lot of the work at Stanmer such as running water. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dacj40 (talk • contribs) 13:46, 15 March 2010 (UTC)
- I've had a look in Dale's Brighton Churches, which does say 1965 and names Francis Jude Jones, so it's a bit of a mystery. I have noticed several other errors in that book, mainly with years, so I suppose it is another example. I have hidden the "in 1965" in the article so that it is not visible except in the edit window, and left a note there mentioning this conversation. Mr Bean
[edit]In the early 1990s, an episode of Mr Bean was filmed here.[1]
I've removed the above trivia which was inserted by 129.127.32.9. My personal view is that it shouldn't be in the article. However, having consulted with Hassocks5489, it may be includable subject to a reliable source being found. Weebly.com, to me, is not a reliable source. Mjroots (talk) 16:14, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
