Autobiographical content

[edit]

It occurred to me today to wonder the origins of the photo of Stan's parents, and consequently why a photo taken in 1900 was marked as "own work". As you can see the uploader was StanDashew - if you google this user ID, you'll see that it's also used for the Stanley Dashew twitter account. This appears to be run by Josef Klus, the co-writer of Dashew's autobiography as, when announcing Stan's death and linking his obituary, it refers to the subject of this article as "my coauthor" and "the man whose biography I wrote". Looking at the article's edit history, we can see that not only did user JosefKlus create this page, but he also made a number of edits, as did user StanDashew, who I assume is Klus's sock. I am therefore marking this page with Template:Autobiography and Template:COI. I hope this is correct procedure and apologise if I selected one or both of these wrongly. The article is clearly fluffy as heck, but I don't know if I'm got the time or relevant project experience to eviscerate it as it probably deserves. If the day of death of Dashew is correct (I intend to check, but didn't yet), autography (of a living person) is IMO not valid, COI is. I skimed some data and some (about son Steve Dashew - I am familiar with nautics and Steve and Linda Dashew are notable, even where I neither searched nor found WP reliable sources about them; site of Dashew center at UCLA comes blank about Stan Dashew, but Google "stan dashew patents" finds data) seem valid, so I'd prefer request for citations instead of envisceration. I'll add what sources (and citations) if and as I'll find time to add. If somebody finds time before me, obituaries and patents data found by google [1] --Marjan Tomki SI (talk) 07:59, 23 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
