Merge with Motion (parliamentary procedure)
[edit]I plan to merge this article into Motion (parliamentary procedure). Ronruser (talk) 16:15, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
- On second thought, it probably fits better into Parliamentary procedure since that article talks about rules. Ronruser (talk) 02:11, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
- I decided to keep it separate. Ronruser (talk) 01:32, 15 March 2016 (UTC)
Clarification on which governments use this term as it is used in the article
[edit]This article should specify what governments (or types of governments) use the standing rule system described in the article. It is highly unlikely that all governments have standing rules that "can be suspended by a majority vote for the duration of the session, but not for longer". This seems specific to certain governments. 66.215.184.32 (talk) 12:00, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
