Definition in ecology
[edit]I feel that the current definition in the article is somewhat incomplete.
For instance, how does standing crop relate to biomass relate to netto primary production, respiration and biomass production? There isn't as much content right now there<; and also whether this definition applies to animals as well. I understand the "crop" relates to plants, but biomass itself as name could easily refer to animals too, e. g. grazing animals.
