How can this page be improved?
[edit]What can we do to solve the problems pointed out by the tags at the top of the page?
I am currently employed by the subject and have a wealth of resources (newspaper and magazine clippings, video footage, reliable Internet sources/publications, etc.) that can be used as references to back up his history. Any tips or assistance on how I can adjust the wording of this page to adhere to Wikipedia standards and guidelines would be greatly appreciated! WP SAG (talk) 02:40, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
- I will take a crack at editing for style but not necessarily for content at this time (unless I change my mind on that). Yours, GeorgeLouis (talk) 03:17, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
- Newspaper/magazine clippings and books can be cited if you know the source, title, and date. If the back issues of the newspapers/magazines are not likely to be available at a large city library (so other editors can verify the information), you can still use the "cite newspaper" template and add the quote parameter to copy exactly a sentence or two that is paraphrased in the article. All citations need the article title, date, source, and the date accessed (at a minimum) to make link maintenance possible. At this point, there are five good sources, plus two press releases — a good start, but the ref list is still a bit on the "thin" side. Please use this talk page to suggest additional content, as you have declared your conflict of interest, and other editors are available to help ensure an encyclopedic tone and neutral point of view. His children
[edit]Is Marguerite the mother of all the kids? If so, "Lathan has five children: Sanaa, Tendaji, Lilane, Arielle and Colette. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Marguerite" should be changed to "Lathan and wife Marguerite have five children . . . ." Are we comfortable in naming the minors? I'm not sure of our policy. GeorgeLouis (talk) 03:53, 19 January 2015 (UTC)
Marguerite has 3 children. None of the children are minors. It's been adjusted. WP SAG (talk) 07:22, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
