Question
[edit]To Dennison Manufacturing Co, or anyone else who can tell me if Dennison is still manufacturing the pealable stamp hinge.
- I have collected stamps since I was 15, in 1940. Dennison stamp hinges were easily obtained, but as years passed they seemed to disappear from the market. They were the best thing that ever happened as an aid to stamp collecting, as far as I'm concerned.
- Any hinges that I can find now are made in Germany, and even though they claim to be pealable, I find it not to be true. I came across about half a pack of Dennisons a while back, when a collector friend died, and her daughter gave me a box of her stamps and stamp supplies. I use them to attach the most valuable of my canceled collection.
- SO, to anyone who reads this, I am crying for HELP in finding Dennison hinges, OR something as pealable. If you have the information I need, you can email me at poetman99@aol.com. Also, IF anyone just happens to like well rhymed, metered poetry, which has clear and understandable messages, log on at http://hometown.aol.com/petezman1/lbpoems/lbpoetry.htm, and after reading some, go back to poem #1 and sign my guest book with an open message.
