my father was in that camp. they did not receive red cross food. I don't know where this info comes from but it's dead wrong. the men got fish head soup and it contained whatever garbage the german guards threw out. my father was in top physical shape with 48 inch chest weighing 168 pounds and when he was liberated after 2.5 years I this camp, he weighed only 85 pounds and suffered malnutrition, complete loss of use of his left arm from beatings. that's the problem with Wikipedia, there's no official citations. this was probably written by someone doing research and not from interviews with any of the U.S. p.o.w's 173.63.171.163 (talk) 12:57, 6 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
