Title of article
[edit]Johnpacklambert, I see that Hodgdon's secret garden has twice moved this article since you created it in 2008. Does this topic have a WP:Common name? Do you agree with the current title? Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 03:20, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
- comment - I'm not married to any particular name here. But I think it might require some kind of "descriptive name", owing its scope recently having been expanded from its original subject of the no-longer-extant PEC's.--Hodgdon's secret garden (talk) 03:40, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
- Comment Actually the history involved as to what has happened to the name is more complex. In late 2010 there were revisions in the way the Church ran meetings that shifted more responsibility to the ward council, and tried to shift some away from the bishop. This I believe increased the frequency of ward council meetings, and shifted the ward council on the spectrum from being a meeting to being an organization that holds meetings. For one thing at that point the ward activities committee was elimanated and activities in the ward are now planned by the ward council, and implemented under the direction of specific members. Also, in 2010 the welfare meeting, which was the PEC plus the ward relief society president was elimanated. For what it is worth, I wonder if it really makes sense to have a combined article on stake and ward council meetings. I would think having seperate articles on the stake and the ward level might make more sense.John Pack Lambert (talk) 04:22, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks, Johnpacklambert; sounds great. Let's split them out, then(?).--Hodgdon's secret garden (talk) 04:27, 7 April 2018 (UTC)
