Dubious
[edit]The dates offered in the article for the 3 T21 projects seem rather dubious:
- Line BX/B1 of the Luas - by 2012? The RPA only submitted planning applications for the proposed "Stephen's Green to Broome Bridge" section in June 2010.[1] Closing planning permission, securing funding, completing purchase orders, and construction in 2 years? "Optimistic" to say the least.
- DART Interconnector - by 2015? Again, CIE only submitted the planning applications for the DART underground/interconnector in August 2010.[2] An underground system spanning the city in 5 years? In the current climate?
- Metro North - by 2013? While the Metro North plans were submitted for review in 2008,[3] they haven't "come out the other end" of the Bord Pleanála process yet. Even if it was "all systems go" by end of 2010, 3 years to complete? Really?
If there are reliable revised dates available for any of these initiatives, then the dates should be updated. (Without recourse to the definitive "will"). If there are no reliable sourced dates, then any mention of dates (or similar crystal-ball assertions) should be excised from the article. Guliolopez (talk) 17:56, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- I never got any feedback on he above, but (as expected) these plans turned out to be largely "paper exercises" only, and it will be a long time before they see any reality (if ever). While the BXD stuff may happen (5 years later than original projections), I've cut back the other items to the only true verifiable notes: "These things were considered. But are not planned/budgetted.") Guliolopez (talk) 15:29, 30 August 2012 (UTC)
