St Sophia's Cathedral, LondonSaint Sophia Cathedral, London – The full formal name of the cathedral is The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Divine Wisdom (Hagia Sophia) (https://www.stsophia.org.uk). The cathedral is not dedicated to a saint called Sophia in the way that (for instance) St Paul's cathedral is dedicated to St Paul. "Saint Sophia" is from Sancta Sophia, which is a Latinisation of the Koine Greek Hagia Sophia. It means Holy (or Divine) Wisdom. The 's (apostrophe-s) is unnecessary and misleading. Please also see the List of churches dedicated to Holy Wisdom for analogous examples and (at the bottom) a list of churches that really are dedicated to a saint called Sophia.
