Expansion of the article
[edit]I have updated and added some new information to this page as of October 12, 2018. Some information was out of date regarding TAPPS districting and athletics in general. Some information was incorrect, including school colors and historical information.
There have been flags posted here about the tone of the language and the lack of citations on some material included here. The tone claims have not been substantiated by any real evidence to date, and thus have been dismissed pending clarification. A flag was also posted regarding the lack of citations for the historical information. This is incorrect, given that citation to the written sources of the information is not possible. This information was taken from the 1959 and '60 editions of Del Sarto, as well as from newsletters sent to alumni by St. Pius in the 1980s. The information is correct, though, and to date, there has been no substantiated challenge to its veracity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by CarlosKorea (talk • contribs) 03:10, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- If you have copies of written sources, perhaps they can be cited. They must meet WP:RS guidelines. Much that's here is not sourced, and may be removed, hence the tags. I've removed some language that doesn't meet encyclopedic standards, and am dubious about some of what remains, as in the Academics section--much of that isn't unique to a high school, and none of it is sourced as yet, either. Also, per talk page message, WP:COI must be divulged. 2601:188:180:1481:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 03:17, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- I have emphasized on CarlosKorea's talk page that sources don't ahve to be online. However, I thought Dean Eichelberger designing the building just might be. Unfortunately I was only able to find the point referenced in Pius News, which can only be used judiciously for the article because it is not an independent source. However, several issues seem to be on Issuu. I won't link because I'm not sure of the copyright legality of that site and I won't add the reference because I'm hoping for a lot better, but for example the Spring 2014 issue, p. 15, has a death announcement for his wife that states he designed the building.
