Thanks.
- Note: here is a copy of the permission:
- Copyright (C) 2006 St. Patrick Parish, Los Angeles USA. Everyone is permitted to copy and distribute verbatim copies of this license document, but changing it is not allowed.
- This is not acceptable. Text in Wikipedia must be alterable by any editor. May I suggest that this article is not very long so it shouldn't be hard to write it from scratch. -Will Beback 22:03, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
I removed the "but changing it is not allowed." part on the originating web site.
- now it reads Everyone is permitted to copy and distribute verbatim copies of this license document., which, as it doesn't reference which license document, means nothing. Besides, verbatim still requires no modifications. Gentgeen 18:10, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry - Copyrighting is something that I'm not very clear on. I looked through the GFDL page and from what I understand the following is what is required (which I updated on the web site)
- Copyright (C) 2006 St. Patrick Parish, Los Angeles USA. Permission is granted to copy, distribute and/or modify this document under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 or any later version published by the Free Software Foundation; with no Invariant Sections, no Front-Cover Texts, and no Back-Cover Texts. - Yup, that works. I've restored the text. A notice either on this page, or at the bottom of the article, noting who the author of the original work is would be good to satisfy the GFDL's requirement to credit the authors of a work. Thanks. Gentgeen 05:17, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
