Copyright violations
[edit]Large swaths of the history section recently added by User:Northern99 seem to be lifted verbatim from the history pages on www.st-charles.il.us [1][2]. It definitely needs to be rewritten to remove this plagiarism.
Note, by the way, that simply adding citations to the place you copied from is not enough. It's still plagiarism (not to mention a possible copyright violation) to simply copy sentences verbatim from another source if you don't enclose them in quotation marks, even if you cite the source you are plagiarizing.

- I deleted the article and undeleted the untainted versions. The text in question was added in blocks but not all in one place, and it was difficult to weed out the good from the not-good. I think I've removed all of it; if not, and I missed a spot, simply remove it yourself and leave a good edit summary in explanation. Thanks for reporting it to WP:CP. Renter Population
[edit]Hello,
I am trying to determine approximately how many people in the St. Charles, Geneva and Batavia areas are apartment renters.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I can't believe there's no information about Col. Baker and his family's contributions to the town.
[edit]You really missed the boat by not including the contributions of Col. Baker, who built the Hotel Baker, and his sister who, I believe, built the Arcada Theater (where Burns & Allen performed their last vaudeville act). —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kishimojun (talk • contribs) 18:45, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
Orphaned references in St. Charles, Illinois
[edit]I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of St. Charles, Illinois's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT⚡ 04:32, 24 July 2019 (UTC)
