Move
[edit]This page has been requested as moved to the School, City, State format to bring it in line with other schools.Gateman1997 23:52, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
- Comment: I happened to notice that less than two hours ago a discussion thread was started on Wikipedia talk:Schools which proposes to make the format "Official School Name (City, State)" the format of choice. If that is agreed to, this should NOT be moved. I would suggest holding off on a move until that issue is resolved.
- Oppose move. The article title is both valid and informative. No need to change in the absence of an article-class-wide guideline as noted in the preceding unsigned comment. Courtland 05:06, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
- Delay till vote complete at Wikipedia talk:Schools, and follow whatever is decided there. --rob 07:18, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
- Oppose. Check Category:High_schools_in_Texas and Category:High_schools_in_Washington "...School, City, State format to bring it in line with other schools." seems to be a very misleading rationale to change a long-standing standard. For years parens have disambiguated everything except cities/towns/neighborhoods. Niteowlneils 20:43, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Outcome
[edit]Request not fulfilled due to lack of consensus. Rob Church Talk 11:09, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
