Assess
[edit]The page is a fair length but contains contradictions which puts into question all other information. Should be rated as low but investigation of the web site reveals that it will not be of low importance. Disappointed to see that this page has recieved so little attention. Philosophy
[edit]Hi, could somebody take a look at the philosophy statement on the main page? Is it legal to copy that from the school's webpage? Thanks, Pcbene 13:34, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
- It's not legal to copy material from a copyrighted source without attribution. Nor is a straightforward copy-and-paste of information from another website suitable material for Wikipedia. However, it is permissible to quote (with attribution) short passages from other sources, (preferably only if it substantially improves the quality of the article). That paragraph has been enclosed in <blockquote> tags, so this was presumably the intention, also the fact that it is a quote needs to be made clearer. Having a quote on its own as the only material in a section is probably not a good idea. Considering the length of the article, I would advice against including quoted material altogether, especially a six-line paragraph, perhaps reconsidering if the article is expanded significantly beyond its current state – Gurch 14:08, 13 October 2006 (UTC)
Mascot
[edit]...is Ralph the Uterus? That seems unlikely. I believe they're the Saints. Because of the name Of the school.
Founding of school
[edit]This page says 1856, 1896 and 1975. -Other sources on the web say early 1900s http://www.boardingschoolsusa.com/factshts/stab.asp So which is it. Can someone advise and correct the page.Victuallers 15:20, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
Alumni
[edit]Hello Shinjusushi, the standard for inclusion is that the alumnus or alumna must be notable in their own right, i.e. a blue link to a Wikipedia article, AND that there be a citation that describes attendance at the school. Graduation is not required. Links to Wikiquote don't count ... and neither do direct links to other sources. Rhadow (talk) 12:59, 2 June 2019 (UTC)
