Change "Kashmiri Hindus constituted 21.9% of Srinagar's population in the 1891 census and 2.75% in the 2011 census" TO " Kashmiri Hindus constituted 8.39% of Srinagar's population in the 1981 census and 2.75% in the 2011 census".

Rationale: In the context of the insurgency in the 80s, does not make much sense to bring in 1891 census. Bringing in the 1981 census numbers paints the grave yet accurate depiction of the decline in population of Kashmiri Hindus. @Charliehdb You may be mistaken. Page requires autoconfirmed access[1], which the requesting editor doesn't have. — kashmīrī TALK 12:00, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Kashmiri and Charliehdb: The 8.39% figure is for the Srinagar district not the city. page number 58 - excerpt - "Srinagar district topping the Jist where the Hindus form 8.39 per cent of the population". I believe it should be reverted or edited accordingly. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 13:07, 20 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I wanted to add one info that "Srinagar is one of the cities in India know as Venice of East" Ref: There is an wikipedia article which has list of cities which are referred as Venice of East, and that list has reference of Srinagar as well, so please include this information in this article as well. 1.39.200.21 (talk) 05:35, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. It is already mentioned, with citations, in the section Srinagar#Tourism. If you want it placed elsewhere in the article also, please be more specific.--Commander Keane (talk) 05:41, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
