I am wondering if there is any evidence about his mother. Many genealogical sites name Katharina von Kleve, without further data, daughter of Dietrich Graf von (count of) Kleve. Wondering if this is fabricated. It could be an invention of the Visconti family, pursuing a higher status. It could also be a a mix-up between Kleve and Chiavenna, which used to be called Cläven in German. --84.169.206.216 (talk) 19:50, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
