Some concerns about the article
[edit]"In the ’50s,’60s, ’70s, and ’80s, there was little or no coverage of the struggle for civil rights, of the Vietnam War protests, of the American hostages held in Iran, or of nuclear power plant protests, but there was coverage of the Lion’s Club pancake suppers, the Bethlehem Snow Queen competition, and the Voorheesville Dionysians’ latest theatrical offerings."
The above and some similar statements in the article read like backhanded criticism or original research. Is this something that can be cited to a reliable source? 71.176.129.201 (talk) 01:32, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

This isn't backhanded criticism, well, at least the statement you are referring to above. This is merely a fact that the publication was and still is a local based publication. Any statewide or national topics will always have a local focus to the coverage. Salem XIII (talk) 03:55, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
I agree that the statement quoted above is quite obviously a pointed criticism. It is couched in observation, but tonally the intention is clear. 68.175.148.104 (talk) 21:14, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
Current Information
[edit]While this entry does detail a fair amount of the history of the publication, it seems to be lacking information on what it is currently doing. The few sentences at the end don't really seem like enough compared to the lengthy history section. Salem XIII (talk) 04:05, 13 February 2011 (UTC)
