Ordering

[edit]

What's the reasoning behind the ordering of the sports here? It doesn't seem to be based either on alphabetical order or popularity. (I'd guess cricket is mostly a niche sport outside the UK, and far less popular than basket or ice hockey overall, for instance.) Mostly, it seems to be more or less random. 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 19:12, 27 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Here's an article on the subject, which perhaps is not too scientific, but contains some valid points. https://humankinetics.me/2019/07/11/most-popular-sports-in-europe/ 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 23:42, 28 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notable female players

[edit]

This is of course slightly subjective (how are we categorising ‘notable’?) but surely this is missing Serena Williams? She’s one of the most successful tennis players ever. 109.249.189.136 (talk) 21:21, 31 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Serena Williams was American, last I checked... 惑乱 Wakuran (talk) 14:20, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
