[edit]After study and debate on the City of Spokane Valley article and talk page, it appears that a discussion of the history of said City (incorporated in 2003) is a subset of, and inextricable from, a discussion of the history of the region of Spokane Valley, bonded between Spokane City and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. A rather lengthy history is attached to the City of Spokane Valley, which after analysis is actually about the whole Valley, and not just the City. It has therefore been discussed that the history should be moved here, to the region, and linked to from the city. This would remedy the scope issues, and provide more fair coverage of the parts of the Valley not in the City of Spokane Valley.
The lengthy history does have issues discovered during the conversation: it's long (unnecessary detail), has few inline sources, and possible neutrality issues. After analysis, it seems more likely that those issues can properly be addressed here, without the scope issue to complicate the discussion.
Any objections to moving the regional Spokane Valley history here?--Katrazyna (talk) 18:22, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
Do Not Panic! This is a work in progress, carried over from history of City of Spokane Valley, where it was out-of-scope, being a history of the entire Valley. Please help improve the article by:
- Adding citations
- Parring down long unnecessary descriptions
- Correcting for accuracy
- Helping with neutrality issues
Please Do Not Delete it outright unless you can replace it with a much better article.--Katrazyna (talk) 03:16, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
