De-stubbed
[edit]This article appears to be of an appropriate length for the subject matter under discussion. It is also appropriately categorized and wikified.
By nature, stubbing and tagging articles devalues them, giving them an aura of unreliability and making them seem less credible. As part of my personal campaign to free up articles that have been stubbed and tagged without cause, this article has been disenstubified.
If any editor disagrees, and would rather re-stub it than improve it by adding actual content, please discuss here. The Editrix 17:03, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
Agreed that it be merged with Streimel to form one more cohesive, authorotative page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.98.212.158 (talk) 14:31, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
What happend to the picture of the Spodik??
[edit]BS"D
There used to be a picture of a spodik on this page. At the moment there is just a picture of the belzer rebbe ZTVK"L wearing a Kolpik. --Shaul avrom 00:33, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]1 This article discusses both the spodik and the kolpik, so why not also the shtreimel?
2 The so-called spodik is just the Polish version of the shtreimel, and indeed its wearers call it a shtraml.
The article would be more coherent as part of shtreimel. --Redaktor 09:47, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
- I disagree. These are distinct forms of hat, worn in different communities and of differing origin. As it stands, the articles describe the differences nicely-- merged, we would risk muddling the picture.Avram (talk) 16:31, 11 May 2009 (UTC)
