notion of "increased function"

[edit]

thalassemia and spherocytosis should probably be under extramedually haematopoiesis: these congenital anaemias cause splenomegaly because of EH, not increased demand for splenic RBC removal. any thoughts?

Cause: Genetic conditions

[edit]

Splennomegaly is also observed in genetic conditions such as Hemochromatosis & Porphyria Cutanea Tarda. Would I be able to add a general ref. to these? If so where is best, in the table? -User:NeilTraynor 30 April 2012 —Preceding undated comment added 14:56, 29 April 2012 (UTC).[reply]

Radiotherapy is also used as a treatment

[edit]

Not mentioned in article, but in UK radiotherapy is [sometimes] used if the patient not suitable for surgery. - Rod57 (talk) 19:08, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
