Notability

[edit]

How do I prove the notability of Sphinx? I'm not a wikipedia expert, but as a programmer I disagree with Sphinx not being notable.

As I said, it is used by many important software projects, such as the Python language, the Pyramid and Django web frameworks, SciPy, Sage, SQLAlchemy and so on. There's no point in linking those from the Sphinx article, because Sphinx is just used as a documentation engine, but it can be verified easily. There's also a (incomplete) list of projects using Sphinx. The notability of many of the listed projects IMHO speaks for keeping the Sphinx article.

Organizations don't write articles about using Sphinx (individuals do, but that doesn't establish notability I guess), only thing I found was the mention in the official Python docs but as I noted above, Sphinx is not talked about much, but it is used very extensively. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Al-Quaknaa (talkcontribs) 16:59, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is given; a list with some of the projects using Sphinx can be found here. --88.130.100.144 (talk) 13:15, 9 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
