[edit]The introduction states that sphingomyelins can have a PC or PE head group. Subsequent portions of the article only mention a PC head group, and most of the scientific literature assumes a PC head group. Can someone knowledgeable comment on the presence of PE on sphingomyelins? 158.111.236.80 (talk) 20:56, 6 August 2015 (UTC)
- From a review of literature seems to show that sphingomyelins must have a PC head, while those with PE heads are called generally referred to as ceramide phosphoethanolamines instead. This should be changed in the introduction. Elhernly (talk) 19:31, 26 September 2024 (UTC)
