Clarification needed for ambiguous statement
[edit]The article states "The sphenomandibular ligament is most often damaged in an inferior alveolar nerve block". Does this mean
- "when an inferior alveolar nerve block is applied the sphenomandibular ligament is frequently damaged", or
- "the most common cause of damage to the sphenomandibular ligament is an inferior alveolar nerve block"
- something else?
This isn't just semantics; reading 1 says that "a frequent - or even almost unavoidable, by one reading of "most often" - corollary of a form of local dental anaesthesia is an unspecified amount of damage to a ligament" while reading 2 doesn't say this at all.
