The Coming of the Railroad
[edit]The article says, "Between June and September 1878, the Chicago, Milwaukee & St Paul Railway built a line west from Algona to Spencer...and regular service began on September 15" and "In 1899, growth here was stimulated by construction of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway to the settlement."
