[edit]The first paragraph on this page contains a terrible pun. As a non-wikipedian I don't know how this relates to the wikipedia style guide but I thought I'd point it out.

h of osculating orbit
[edit]is, by definition, exactly the same as h for the perturbed orbit at every instant. The difference is that if the perturbations were to suddenly cease, the object would follow the osculating orbit rather than the perturbed. So the statement "However, for perturbed orbits the h vector is generally not perpendicular to the osculating orbital plane." is wrong. Tfr000 (talk) 14:40, 21 March 2015 (UTC)
