The result of the move request was: Moved to Dental specialty — Amakuru (talk) 14:08, 19 January 2022 (UTC)
Specialty (dentistry) → Dental specialties or Dental specialty or Dentistry specialties or Dentistry specialty or Specialties in dentistry – per WP:NATURAL. See also Medical specialty, and I just noticed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dental specialties (closed as redirect to Dentistry#Specialties 2 January 2008). — BarrelProof (talk) 00:52, 10 January 2022 (UTC)
- Move to Dental specialty per WP:SINGULAR and WP:NATURALDISAMBIGUATION. Rreagan007 (talk) 05:31, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- About the plural issue, consider the previous discussion at Talk:Flight control surfaces#Requested move 3 February 2016 and its discussion of WP:SINGULAR, and consider WP:NCPLURAL. This is not an article about a particular single topic called "dental specialty". It is a description of a set of different specializations that are recognized collectively as dental specialties. Consider Maxwell's equations, Chebyshev polynomials, or Zeno's paradoxes, for example. A set that includes various different things might be better described by a plural. Perhaps it should even be List of dental specialties. Or perhaps it should just become a redirect since it is mostly a duplicate of Dentistry#Specialties. — BarrelProof (talk) 06:14, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- Move to Dental specialty. I'm not seeing any difference from Medical specialty. Either both should be plural or both singular. -- Necrothesp (talk) 14:28, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- I agree that consistency is desirable, but renaming Medical specialty (either boldly or with an RM) is also a possibility. — BarrelProof (talk) 22:16, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- Move to Dental specialty unless someone presents a good case for moving both to plural. I think singular is fine. Dicklyon (talk) 19:20, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
