Old talk (pre-merge)
[edit]Kansas City
[edit]Merge with MO 291?
[edit]I don't think the two pages should be merged. Mo 291 follows *part* of Bypass 71, but not all of it. Bypass 71 ended near Platte City, but Mo 291 ends in Kansas City at Interstate 435. I think the two pages need to be kept separate. US 71 22:13, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Joplin (alt.)
[edit]If anyone can convert this sign image to the svg format, please do and change the routebox to the standard US routebox. I have no way to change this to svg format. Rt66lt 20:26, 16 February 2006 (UTC)
U.S. 71 and Alt 71
[edit]Alt 71 was actually truncated back to I-44 when U.S. 71 was moved to the Carthage Bypass. Alt 71 was decommissioned when the segment south of Neosho was completed. US 71 17:12, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
New talk (post-merge)
[edit]U.S. Route 71 Bypass
[edit]US 71 By-pass at Platte City needs to be moved to decommissioned. It's now part of I-29 US 71 18:34, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads up! I moved it. —Scott5114↗ 00:14, 24 September 2007 (UTC)
Storm Lake business loop
[edit]How do we know that the Storm Lake business loop is no longer active? I was recently driving on US 71 Business in Storm Lake and it was well signed, and seemed very much a current route. Is there some kind of citation for the deletion? Brandonrush Woo pig sooie 23:39, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
- Where does the article say it's no longer active? I just read the Storm Lake loop section twice, and from what I can tell it doesn't even come close to saying that. – TMF 00:05, 22 August 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry my fault. A 100% misread by me. Brandonrush Woo pig sooie 23:39, 21 August 2010 (UTC)
