Guerra Hispano - Estadounidense

Add "Guerra hispano-estadounidense" (US-Spanish War) to complement the information with the name given to the war in Spain and therefore the Spanish language.

Here is the current text:

The Spanish–American War (April 21 – August 13, 1898) was a period of armed conflict between Spain and the United States.

Here is my proposal, which was rejected by another member:

The Spanish-American War also known in Spain as the Guerra hispano-estadounidense (US-Spanish War) was an between Spain and the United States from April 21 to August 13 in 1898.

The text that I propose does not change any historical data, nor does it alter the name of the war in the English language, in addition to being supported by some reliable sources:

Source 1

Source 2

Adding a "copy" of the name of the war in the original language of those involved helps the reader to expand their search for information beyond the English language, this being a common practice in other war articles within the same English wikipedia, citing Some examples:

First Balkan WarRusso-Japanese WarMexican–American WarPhilippine–American WarWar of the Pacific

That is all from me and I'm waiting for the comments of my colleagues on wikipedia, thank you all very much.

Pay attention that there is a note ("d") right next to the English name that already gives the Spanish name for the war too. That should take care of your request? Thank you, warshy (¥¥) 22:00, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Hello, the information that you put in the note "d" is correct and truthful, that is not in doubt, what I am proposing is to give the page the structure that other armed conflicts have within Wikipedia, "name of war in the English language" and "the names that war has in the languages of the belligerents" which are not always a direct and literal translation in the English language.
I annex 10 examples more of articles on wars within wikipedia that, as an example, have the structure "Name of the war in English" and "name of the war in the language of the belligerents":
Cristero War, Austro-Prussian War, Transnistria War, War of Attrition, Caucasian War, Vietnam War, Iran–Iraq War, Eritrean–Ethiopian War, Estonian War of Independence, Russo-Circassian War, The Disasters of War.
Finally, I propose that its note "d" be used as one more source next to the name of the war in the Spanish language, thus maintaining the information of the note "d" and giving the page the standard structure within Wikipedia.

Interesting point. Perhaps this should be addressed in a wider context by proposing the addition of parameters for this purpose to {{infobox military conflict}}. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 06:39, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
If you just want to format the description to maintain the standard that other war pages have within wikipedia, there should be no problem, just make sure you don't modify the information that is true. MrFantaso (talk) 04:35, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

Thank you all very much for your opinion, if there are no comments against it, I will proceed to make the change to add the name by which the war is known in Spanish "Guerra hispano-estadounidense" (US-Spanish War).
