Was Jeff Bezos involved with SSI ?

[edit]

Jeff Bezos of Amazon was highly interested in Space development in high school and college. (He went to Princeton). Was he involved with SSI ?

Bezos’ emphasis on using resources from the moon for accessing and developing Mars are highly reminiscent of SSI work in the early 1980s.

Have Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk commented on SSI’s work on solar power satellites? Are they funding or supporting a demonstration project? Given recent developments in thin film solar devices (perhaps modifiable to specifically utilize high energy low wavelength light blocked by earth’s atmosphere) , can Lower mass solar satellites / sails or inflated structures decrease the cost of space based solar power? Have Blue Origin or SpaceX considering in-kind donations of launch services for a demo project? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1002:B0C6:2DB9:487B:E926:6123:59FD (talk) 05:03, 20 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
