Happy to offer a review. J Milburn (talk) 12:51, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- Standard Publications or Sam Merwin worth redlinking?
- Both done. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:16, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- I've moved the cover to the lead, but now see that you may have made a deliberate choice not to put it in the lead. It does seem that the cover may be justified, but the rationale could use some tightening; also, perhaps you could tie the caption to the text. Alternatively (or additionally) we could try to get a PD logo? (Bergey's covers will enter the PD in 2023- one of the diaries, maybe!)
- I've expanded the caption and the rationale; how does that look? I don't think we need the logo if we can keep the cover. Re Bergey, is that because it will be 70 years since his death? That would be great; there are quite a few of his covers that could be used on these articles. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:16, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- Do you literally mean "paint" for the cover art?
- Yes, they would have been pointed. Is there an issue there that I'm not seeing? Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:16, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- "though few of the stories were memorable;[4][5] The best-known" Is that capital a mistake, or were you intending to do something else?
- Fixed. Looks like I went on a semicolon hunt and didn't completely kill that one. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:16, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- Details on later publication of The Big Jump/any other stories contained?
- I generally avoid mentioning later publications of the stories mentioned in these magazines unless there is something truly notable, such as winning a major award. I'll look through Bousfield's article again and see if I can find more stories worth mentioning. She tends to cover absolutely everything, which makes it hard to select for notability, but there's probably something I can pick out. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:16, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
- Now done. I don't think either author is worth linking -- both had just a handful of stories published and are not covered by the usual references. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 13:24, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

- "Bergey's cover, for the December 1952 issue, was the last cover he had painted for Standard before he died earlier that year.[4]" Very strange tense- could this be simplified?
- Done. Mike Christie (talk - contribs - library) 12:16, 9 January 2015 (UTC)
Generally solid, as ever, but I've done slightly more copyediting than I would usually; please double-check. Google Scholar's throwing up only false-positives, so I suspect that the basic details you've included are most of what there is to say. J Milburn (talk) 13:13, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
- I'm happy that this is now ready for GA. Concerning the covers, see {{PD-old-70}}, but remember that they become PD on the 1 January 70 years after the 1 January on the year after the author died.
